I finally got some new pictures up- daycare pics, some new quilt pics, crocheting pics, our NY trip and aquarium visits. Tom put some pics up of his white water rafting trip. All stuff from this year, so enjoy!

June 24th, 2008I decided to try some of this fancy-schmancy website stuff. This site is now using WordPress, with Gallery 2 for the pictures, and WPG2 to let the two programs get along (more or less). Now it should be easier for Reina and I to keep the photos up to date, and maybe we can use this site to distribute the pictures to everyone after a group event.
I was hoping to find a fully-integrated WordPress photo gallery plugin, but I couldn’t find one that would do what I wanted: nestable albums, and several different viewing sizes for each image (e.g., thumbnail, regular viewing, and original image size). Gallery 2 does all this (and much more), but even with the WPG2 integration, I haven’t found an intuitive way to insert images from the gallery into WordPress posts. Obviously, I can just have WordPress link to the gallery’s web page, or refer to an image from the gallery, but I want a tighter integration. Ah well, it seems I can’t get everything that I want right now.
